About Basecamp Explorer Group - Taurus Trust Fund, Norway

Basecamp Explorer Group is engaged in sustainable development through locally based, responsible tourism. Basecamp Explorer today operates six unique "Basecamps", in Kenya - India - Russia and the Artic (Spitsbergen). All are developed in close collaboration with the local communities, representing some of the most interesting and intriguing cultures on earth.

At "Basecamp" you will find community projects being an integrated part of the visitors experience. These activities encompass education for children and our staff, support of social and cultural initiatives, protection of biodiversity, water supply, heat and solar energy/waste management.

The Basecamp concept aim to offer an authentic, private and adventurous experience, something of the extraordinary - both related to nature and culture.
